Fundevogel ist der Abschlussfilm von Claudia von Alemann in Ulm. Ein Film-experiment, die surreale Umsetzung eines Grimmschen Märchens mit Kinderdarstellern und Dreharbeiten im Wald, im Sumpf und in einem Bunker. „Der Prinz verwandelt sich in einen Stein, als er die Aufgabe bei Sonnenuntergang noch nicht gelöst hat. Was wird aus dem Stein? – Die Knochen, die die kleine Schwester vergräbt, werden zum Vogel, der wieder zum Bruder wird, als die böse Mutter endlich tot ist.“
Auf dem Weg zur Vorführung des Films verunglückt die Regisseurin. Die Zuschauer*innen sammeln für sie Geld: „Sie schickten mir 623 DM, damit fuhr ich im Mai nach Paris und kam sobald nicht zurück. Ich glaubte, Filmmacher könnten die konkrete politische Arbeit, Information und Agitation, mit der Phantasiearbeit verbinden. Sous le pavé, la plage. Fundevogel
Fundevogel was Claudia von Alemann's final degree project in Ulm, a film experiment and surreal interpretation of a Grimm's fairytale featuring child actors and locations in a forest, a swamp and in a bunker. “A prince turned himself into a rock because he wasn't able to complete the task set for him by sundown. And what happened to the rock? – the bones that the younger sister buries turn into a bird, which then turns into the original boy, her brother, once their evil mother dies”. On the way to the premiere, the director has a fatal accident.
Members of the audience gathered money for her benefit.: “they sent me 623 DM. With that money, I travelled, that May, to Paris and didn't come back for a while. I thought that those making films could carry out concrete, political activity, dissipating information and agitating, while also working creatively. Sous le pavé, la plage.
